the Torino Ranch
July 28 - August 1, 2009!

Four fun-filled days... swimming,
hiking, arts & crafts, horseback riding, outdoor
games, nature study and so much more! That's what
Camp Cartwheel provides to some very special youngsters.
It's a time to forget about hospitals, clinics and
diseases... it's a time to have fun with their brothers
and sisters. These very special children get to "cut
loose" and be kids again.

Children with illness such
as cancer, AIDS, hemophilia, sickle cell disease and other
immunological disorders draw on their summer camp
experiences for strength throughout the year. At
camp, children will share their adventures with other
survivors of illness, who instill courage and nurture self
esteem. |

Our Mission
Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation's Camp Cartwheel is an
outdoor day camp experience designed to help children with
cancer or critical illnesses and their siblings overcome the
physical, mental and emotional obstacles posed by childhood
disease.

Our Goals
To provide a medically supervised, cost-free camping program for
children with critical illnesses and their siblings, providing
the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun camp
activities and develop new skills. Campers form positive
peer relationships and develop greater independence and
self-esteem. Campers serve as role models for one another
and begin to see themselves, for the first time, as strong
capable leaders!

Cancer Foundation staff and volunteers are able to provide this
unique and much needed distraction for these wonderful
youngsters. Your generous donations enable us to use
scarce resources to provide more services to desperate families.
