NCCF Education Staff
Preschool Program: Kids ages 2-4 work on skills such as
coloring, identifying colors, shapes, and letters, counting, the
alphabet, and appropriate classroom behavior and structure through
a variety of lessons and games.
Sally Pope serves as our full-time preschool
instructor.

Pre-School Instruction - Sally
Pope
Sally Pope began volunteering for the foundation
in the summer of 2006. She has volunteered her time for a number
of special events and at Camp Cartwheel each year. In 2009, Ms.
Pope began volunteering in the Torino Foundation Classroom where she now
works as an NCCF staff member. In 2009, Sally was honored as the
NCCF Volunteer of the year. She works specifically with pre-school
children introducing activities for learning along with arts &
craft projects.
K-12 Program: Students are instructed by 2
licensed teachers in all subjects. Students bring work from their
school and receive direct instruction. Supplementary academia
tools are used to enhance the students' comprehension and mastery
of the material. The classroom teachers are Lenny Ware and Chris
Pegg.

Kindergarten though Advanced
Placement
Lenny Ware, Director of NCCF Education Services and Teacher
Lenny received a football scholarship to UNLV
from Montclair High School in Southern California. He finished his
career at UNLV as the second all-time leading receiver in school
history tied for first place in most 100 yard games and holds the
freshman record for receptions. During his senior year at UNLV, he
served as team captain and won the R.E. "Doc" Tobler
Award for the senior who brings the highest credit to himself and
to the University. In addition, he was presented with the Arthur
Ashe Award for outstanding contribution in athletics. Lenny
graduated with a bachelor degree in communications.
In 2000, Lenny signed a free-agent contract with
the Tennessee Titans before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
In 2004, he was contracted to play with the Las Vegas Gladiator
Arena Football team. He finished the season playing and starting
in five games, recording 20 receptions, and making three
touchdowns.
Between contracts with the Titans and the
Gladiators, Lenny had an opportunity to work as an aid in a
classroom for children requiring special education needs. It was
at this time, in 2005, Lenny chose to make education his career
and began teaching special education classes at Western High
School in the Clark County School District. He also completed his
Master's Degree in Education in 2006 and served as Special
Education Department Chair responsible for budget, building
teacher class schedules, and acting as a liaison between special
education staff and administration.
